I am sure some of you are wondering how we are managing here in the new place (especially with no furniture yet). So far it's going pretty well. On Sunday Jay took the kids and I to his office building, to show the kids where he works now. Lincoln was certainly impressed, and they really liked that Daddy had a bag of cheesies in his desk for them.We also went grocery shopping, which was a different experience for sure. I am going to miss my Superstore, since they don't have one here in Guelph. We have a Zehr's which is similar, but not quite the same. Instead of being able to do all of my shopping in one store it appears I will have to 'shop around'.
Yesterday the kids and I spent the day relaxing. I made some phone calls and that was about it. The Nitro hasn't arrived yet, so I am without a vehicle, which limits what the kids and I can do here during the day. There isn't a heck of a lot within walking distance. I am going to call today and find out where the truck is and when we might expect it to arrive.
Well according to the vehicle shipping company, we won't be getting our truck until Friday! Gah! I am going to have a hard time being stuck here with no vehicle all week. I wanted to start finding my way around with the kiddos. We are right on the edge of town, and walking to anything of interest to them would likely be too far for Sydnie, so I am not sure what we will do yet. Perhaps I will look into the public transportation system here and we can take a bus or something.
All in all we are managing quite well. The weather has been nice, neither too hot nor too cold. I am hoping it stays that way at least until we get the truck. The townhouse has no air conditioning so if the weather gets unbearable I want to be able to take the kids to the beach or at least for a drive in the air conditioned car!
I have been taking photos, but I have to wait for our stuff to get here before I can get them on the computer. Although this week I may just nip over to Wal-Mart and have them put all the recent photos onto a CD for me so that I can share them on here.
The kids are finding ways to amuse themselves, even though we only have a TV and two lawn chairs for furniture. We did pack them a few toys, but they mostly make forts out of the lawn chairs or watch movies.
I'm sure I'll have more interesting things to report once we get out and go places!
